Band Director: Mr. Bob Gloppen and Ms. Angie Lorandos
Eligibility:
Students in Grades 4-8
General Description:
Most new band members are introduced to the instrument of their choice in the summer after completing third grade. During the school year, band members practice together to further enhance their musical abilities. The STMS Band performs two yearly concerts: a Christmas Concert and a Spring Concert, with each performed once in the evening for family and friends and once for our school students. Instruments can be rented through an area company and is coordinated by Ms. Lorandos. Band lesson fees are charged to your school Facts account and instrument fees are paid directly to the rental company. Private music lessons to gain proficiency with the instrument are not required, but students are encouraged to practice on their own. Band practice occurs twice a week during the school year.
